{"id":1802,"date":"2015-10-05T09:26:54","date_gmt":"2015-10-05T09:26:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/geopark.org.uk\/pub\/?p=1802"},"modified":"2015-10-05T09:50:14","modified_gmt":"2015-10-05T09:50:14","slug":"1802","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/geopark.org.uk\/pub\/2015\/10\/1802\/","title":{"rendered":"GeoFest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GeoFest is the Abberley and Malvern Hills Geoparks annual celebration of events.\u00a0 The members of the Geopark Forum host events throughout June, July and August that highlight and promote the geology, landscape and associated heritage of the Geopark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GeoFest events include walks, talks, exhibitions, demonstrations and children\u2019s and family activities along with \u2018Ask the Expert\u2019 sessions and demonstrations which explore the geology, landscape, history and wildlife of the Geopark.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Venues for the events include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Severn Valley Country Park Visitor Centre in Alveley, Shropshire<\/li>\n<li>Bodenham Arboretum, Wolverley, Worcestershire<\/li>\n<li>Wyre Forest Discovery Centre<\/li>\n<li>Bewdley Museum, Worcestershire<\/li>\n<li>The Engine House (Severn Valley Railway) in Highley, Shropshire<\/li>\n<li>Hartlebury Museum<\/li>\n<li>Cob House Fisheries<\/li>\n<li>The Hive, Worcester<\/li>\n<li>Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum<\/li>\n<li>Worcester and Gloucester Cathedrals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">GeoFest is launched by the Geopark president, Chris Darmon.
