There will be an<br \/>\nindoor session in the morning, followed by lunch in the cafe (at your own<br \/>\nexpense) and then we\u2019ll take a stroll to see some local rock outcrops and take<br \/>\nin the wider landscape.<br \/>\nMeeting: Severn Valley Country Park, Highley, Worcs at 10.30 Cost: \u00a310.00<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Rocks of all kinds explained!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday 27 November&nbsp;<br \/>\nHow do we distinguish different rocks? What\u2019s the difference between a<br \/>\ngranite and basalt, or a slate and shale? This inside\/outside day will combine a<br \/>\nclassroom session with an outdoor visit around Bewdley where we\u2019ll be able to<br \/>\nsee natural rocks \u2018in the street\u2019. There\u2019s an onsite cafe where you can buy<br \/>\nlunch. This day is aimed particularly at beginners, but all are welcome.<br \/>\nMeeting: Bewdley Museum at 10.30 Cost: \u00a310.00<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rockstars, a celebration of famous rocks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday 11 December&nbsp;<br \/>\nThere are some rocks that everyone has heard of, like Portland Stone or Shap<br \/>\nGranite. But why are they famous, what makes them so special? We\u2019ll be<br \/>\nexamining some famous rocks in a practical session and then learning more<br \/>\nabout them in a lively teaching session during this day of two parts.
