Experience the Cathedral out of hours by candlelight!
Their exciting ‘Cathedral at Night’ event takes place this coming Saturday 12th September. The cathedral will be open until 10pm and it is a wonderful opportunity to experience this inspiring, captivating, and historic space in a different way.If you are coming may we suggest arriving later than the advertised start time, because as darkness falls the cathedral will look splendid in the evening light with candles and lower light-levels inside than usual.
Explore a torch-light family trail. Find Inspiration through atmospheric music – organ scholar and choral scholars will be providing music throughout the evening. Enjoy a glass of wine (or soft drink) in the medieval Cloister.
Worcester Cathedral are opening up on Saturday evening 6:15 PM – 10:00 PM for a special event.
Don’t forget to bring your torches for the torch-light trail! And you’ll need to bring your face mask.
Entry is free but they welcome donations (contactless giving points are available).
This event has proved very popular on Facebook posts so please note that to ensure they keep to our Covid-secure safety measures there might be a short wait outside the north porch at busy times. But do not worry – they are open until 10pm!
