Half term is here, and there are plenty of places to visit and things to do in the Geopark.
Although it’s February we can still wrap up warm and get out into the countryside. The Malvern Hills are always worth a visit, and if visiting you can pop into the Malvern Hills GeoCentre to find out more about the hills and get refreshments from the café. National Trust properties including Brockhampton, Croome and Dudmaston are open too. Severn Valley Country Park will be open all week as well.
A number of our Geopark partners have special activities for Half Term. At Worcester Cathedral they have A Monk’s Life! On Monday and Tuesday. Visit the Undercroft where there will free crafts, games and activities, and you can even dress up!
At Cob House they have their Pampered pony Rides for 2-12 years olds on Monday, for a 5 minute ride. Then on Wednesday they have a Foraging and Bush Craft adventure. The park is also open all week to visit and see the animals and stretch your legs.
Volcanoes is the focus of Lapworth Museum’s family event. Once again it is online so you can join from wherever. It takes place Wednesday, and you need to book in advance as places are limited. Find out where volcanoes can be found, why volcanoes form and some of the amazing rocks which come from them!
Bewdley Museum once again is running their popular half term crafts Monday-Friday. Places are £6 and must be booked in advance.
