Lives in the Landscape

Geopark Forum member ‘Geologists in the Geopark’ is working with Forum member ’Severn Valley Country Park’ on its Lives in the Landscape’ project. The early part of 2020 will see a programme of encouraging members of the public and existing volunteers to participate in a number of activities. These include investigations of the old colliery spoil heaps for rocks and fossils; guided walks around area looking at local geology and industrial archaeology; hands on geology teaching sessions; and talks on stone quarrying in the Severn Valley.
